Key responsibilities:

• Routine inspections, sampling and testing and the production of compressive strength specimens

• Take part in research and development projects

• Physical material trials

Person specification and required skills:

• Previous experience as a construction materials technician, an asphalt/ready mix concrete technician or as a site technician

• Experience in granular materials sampling, particle size distribution testing and compressive strength testing would be beneficial

• Flexible “can do” attitude

• Ability to hit the ground running

• Good organisational and time management skills

• Full UK driving license

 Working Hours: 45 hours per week; 0600 to 1600 Monday to Friday, including one hour unpaid break. Occasional Saturday mornings and out of hours working may be required to meet production needs. Please note that this positon is a 12 month contract.

Package is: annual salary plus the 9% employer pension contribution with Scottish Widows. You may be entitled to the discretionary Annual and Christmas bonuses. Annual leave of 29 days per year, including 8 Bank Holidays.
