Role Overview
About the Role
Join Day Group as a Logistics Coordinator supporting our Crawley and Shoreham depots on a 14-month fixed-term maternity cover contract, and play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of materials across our operations.
Working as part of a busy logistics team, you’ll coordinate customer orders, vehicle scheduling, material movements, and haulage requirements across two busy operational sites. Acting as a central point of contact for customers, drivers, contract hauliers, and depot teams, you’ll help ensure deliveries are completed efficiently, customer expectations are met, and day-to-day operations run smoothly.
This is a varied role that combines transport planning, administration, customer service, and operational coordination. You’ll be responsible for supporting the movement of materials across the South East while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and service throughout the contract period.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within a leading aggregates and recycling business, working in a collaborative environment where no two days are the same.

We’re looking for an organised and adaptable individual who can confidently balance customer service, administration, transport coordination, and operational support.

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage changing priorities are essential.
Experience within aggregates, waste management, recycling, construction materials, or transport operations would be advantageous, although we welcome applications from candidates with transferable logistics and planning experience.
