Day Group has received the CheckProof Industry Excellence Award for Digital Adoption, recognising the successful use of digital technology to support operational performance across the business.
Initially introduced to support maintenance processes, CheckProof has since been adopted across a broader range of operational activities, including plant inspections, health and safety, deviation reporting, permits to work and risk assessments. Much of this development has been led by Day Group’s area managers, helping to embed the system into everyday working practices.
The platform has also changed how information is recorded, accessed and acted upon. Defects are sent directly to the responsible manager, maintenance jobs are typically closed within one day, and inspection records can be accessed immediately from any location when required for an audit.
Lucian Hester said:
“We introduced CheckProof to strengthen our preventative maintenance and improve control of our records and systems. Everything is kept in one place, remains up to date, and is available to the team whenever they need it.
“I can access maintenance and safety records for any item of equipment or member of staff from anywhere, which is especially useful during audits. Most importantly, the team in the field has embraced it, and that is what makes it work.”
The award was presented to Lucian Hester, Malcolm Burton, Jason Corpas Bravo and Daniel Palmer on behalf of the wider Day Group team.
This recognition reflects the contribution of everyone involved in implementing, developing and using CheckProof across the business. Congratulations to the whole team on this achievement.
