Key Responsibilities and Objectives:

In addition to the responsibilities of a Logistics Coordinator, Supervisors are expected to:

  • Continually raise the standard of service provided to internal and external customers.
  • Take responsibility for vehicle optimisation and earnings.
  • Monitor resources, including people and equipment, in the office.
  • Oversee the productivity of, and contribution made by, each coordinator.
  • Carry out regular 1-2-1 appraisals and provide guidance accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities for personal development and training needs.
  • Enforcing good safety practices.
  • Practice and promote the core values of the Company.
  • Adhere to the Company’s strategy and objectives.

Key skills:

In addition to the skill set of a Logistics Coordinator, Supervisors are expected to:

  • Display confidence when addressing challenging situations.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with IT systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Tachographs driving hours and working time directive (WTD).
  • Hold, or be prepared to attain, an IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.

Personal Specification:

In addition to the attributes of a Logistics Coordinator, Supervisors are expected to:

  • Be a natural team builder with the desire to mentor and nurture members.

 Working hours: 46.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 0600 and 1800 plus 45 minutes unpaid for lunch, one in three Saturdays on rotation.

Package is: annual salary plus the 9% employer pension contribution with Scottish Widows. You may be entitled to the discretionary Annual and Christmas bonuses. Annual leave of 29 days per year, including 8 Bank Holidays.
