Day Contracting was invited to work alongside Thames Water on a design and build project at a site in Warmington, Oxfordshire.

The project involved designing and building a new 12m percolating filter containing blast furnace slag filter media. This was then followed by the relocation of existing sludge pumps and forming a new filter drainage collection chamber.

New inlet and drainage pipework needed to be installed alongside the supply and installation of a new distribution column and arms.

The process design was carried out directly by Thames Water. Meanwhile, all other aspects of design, along with civil and M&E installations, were carried out by Day Contracting.
